Machong Town dates back to the Song Dynasty, boasting a history of over eight centuries. In the early days of its establishment, it was named "Ancient Plum Village" as a tribute to the ancestors' love for plum trees. The Ancient Plum Ecological Agriculture Park, located beside the scenic rice field observation platform in the park, has established a green plum orchard.

Since 2017, the Machong Ancient Plum Ecological Agriculture Park has been planting green plum trees. Every year during the flowering season, it attracts numerous tourists who come to admire the scenery. This not only stimulates the development of local agritourism but also charts a new path for the revitalization of traditional agriculture in Machong.

As a new-era civilization practice point in Machong Town, the Ancient Plum Ecological Agriculture Park regularly conducts activities such as parent-child interaction and agricultural science popularization. Visitors can take the educational train to tour the entire park and experience various activities like kayaking, off-road grass carts, and rural shooting.

麻涌镇立村于宋，至今已有八百多年历史，先人爱梅，立村之初名为“古梅乡”，古梅生态农业园在园区艺术稻田画观景台旁设立了青梅园。

麻涌古梅生态农业园从2017年开始种植青梅树，每年一到花期，都会吸引很多游客慕名前来观赏。这既带动了当地观光农业的发展，也让麻涌传统农业发展走出了一条乡村振兴新道路 古梅生态农业园作为麻涌镇新时代文明实践点，常态化开展亲子互动、农业科普等文明实践活动。可以乘坐教育号小火车环游整个园区，还可以体验皮划艇、草地越野车、田园射击等多个项目。
