The high-end New Oriental Express brand train launched a brand-new formation mode in 2025, which includes the Gold & Silver Diamond Formation and the Blue Diamond Formation. Specifically:
Gold & Silver Diamond Formation: Comprising 8 Gold Diamond carriages and 3 Silver Diamond carriages, accommodating up to 112 passengers.

Gold Diamond Carriages:
8 carriages, each with 4 double suites featuring a king-size bed (1.5m × 2m), accommodating up to 2 people.

Silver Diamond Carriages:
Luxury Suite (1 unit): Two separate single beds (approx. 0.9m × 2m and 1.1m × 2m), private bathroom with separate shower and toilet, accommodates 2 people.
Luxury Gold Diamond King (1 unit): One king bed (approx. 1.5m × 2m), extra-large bathroom with separate shower and toilet, accommodates 2 people.
Executive Standard Room (2 units): Independent washbasin, retractable upper bunk, accommodates 1–2 people per room.
Luxury 4-Person Compartment (2 units): Upper bunks can be folded away for 2 people to enjoy a 4-bed space, shared bathroom (with shower).
Blue Diamond Carriages:
Quantity: 10 carriages (subject to adjustment based on formation).
Configuration: Each carriage has 7 compartments, each accommodating 2–4 passengers.
Highlights: Shared restroom, shower room, and refrigerator in the carriage. Extra-wide lower bunks (0.9m × 1.95m) and upper bunks (0.7m × 1.82m) for comfort, with dampers for folding the upper bunks flush against the wall. Soundproofing panels in rooms, individual audio systems, adjustable lighting, and a butler call service are provided.
